About us
Rugged, trail-ready pants built specifically for girls and women—because the outdoors isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Designed by backpackers and field-tested by actual Girl Scouts, Trailborne pants are made to move. Wind- and water-resistant, with roomy pockets, an adjustable waist, and zip-off legs that won’t snag on boots, they’re built for wherever the trail leads. A built-in clip keeps essentials like water bottles close, while reflective detailing helps you stay visible when the light fades. And yes—they look cool, too.
Fit for the Trail
Performance matters—but so does comfort. We use a high-tech nylon knit engineered to be lightweight, breathable, wind-resistant, and quick-drying. It stands up to rugged use while feeling soft against the skin—more like your favorite cotton than traditional technical gear. Because gear should work hard without feeling like it.

Designed by Backpackers
Every detail serves a purpose. These pants are cut to fit female bodies—no compromises or no shrinking down men’s gear. Deep, functional pockets hold phones and trail essentials. An adjustable waist adapts to movement (and growing bodies). A built-in clip keeps gear accessible. Reflective tape adds visibility—and can even double as a signaling aid in an emergency.
The Importance of Proper Materials
There’s a saying on the trail: cotton kills. It holds moisture, dries slowly, and can lead to chafing, blisters—or worse, hypothermia in cold conditions. Trailborne pants are built differently.
Our technical nylon fabric is lightweight, breathable, and fast-drying—so it performs when conditions change and keeps you comfortable mile after mile.
Tested Where it Counts
Big Bend National Park isn’t forgiving. It has jagged rock, thorny plants, relentless terrain. Exactly the type of place to test our first Switchback Pants, and exactly why they perform. They didn’t just survive. They thrived.
